Today we played our first doubles against Bucklands Beach School. It was a close first set and we only lost by 7 games to 6. In the 2nd set we went down by 6 games to 4. We would like to thank Joyce our Manager for all her support this week, and for support we have had from other teams whilst playing.

LAST BASKETBALL POST FROM THE MOUNT!
Today we played 1 game and we were so pleased to win 22-21. It was against Kristin who had beaten us earlier in the tournament and it was the most intense game we have played. It took a little bit of bribing though, Mrs Schofield said that if we got 20 points or more, after the game she would share some chips between two people. We also got ice creams too! It seems that whenever we get bribed we win our games! A big thank you to Mrs Schofield and our team Manager Heidi for being with us all this week and giving us this chance to play basketball.
LAST FOOTBALL POST FROM THE MOUNT!
The Soccer team tried our hardest and though we got off to a slow start as we are very tired, we picked up our game but sadly lost 2-0 to Whakatane. In the second game, we played our best but the other team was very good and beat us 2-0 again!
Our third game of the day and our final game of the tournament was fantastic and we were very happy with the result of 3-0 against St Mary's and this was a great way to end the tournament.
We would like to thank all our parent supporters who visited during the week; and also our Coaches Mr Wilson and John Etherington, and our Manager Mr Cheetham. This week of football has been amazing and we have learnt lots and improved.

LAST WATER POLO POST FROM THE MOUNT!
We have been having lots of fun at AIMS and have been playing lots of teams who have challenged us physically and mentally. Today we played Otumoetai and Mt Maunganui. Our first game we drew 4-4 and in the second game it was a close loss of 1-2 to the Mt. We have played a lot of tough boys and done really well in improving as a team.
Our final game tomorrow morning is at 9.00 am against our rival Balmoral, and we are really hoping to come out with a win. We would like to thank all the parents for coming to support us at Bay Wave. And especially Lenore and Jules our team mothers, and Emily our Coach for their care and support. Thank you football today for your support after you had finished playing your 14th game - it was great to see you there!
LAST NETBALL POST FROM THE MOUNT!
Today we played two challenging game. Our first game was against Te Wharekura O Maumo. We enjoyed that game because it was so much fun. We flew through that game and the finale sclorre was 28-12. Our first win of the AIMS tournament 2012. Sadly, Sylvia ran into the goal circle, skidded over and landed on her wrist. She was escorted by ambulance to hospital. She said that she found the experience exciting since she has never been in an ambulance before. She is better now with her arm in a cast because she has actually broken her arm. We are very pleased to see her back with the team tonight.
Back to the netball... - overall we played well as a team so we could intercept and catch the ball! Everyone played well and pushed themselves. We were so happy - even Sylvia!
In our second game, we were a bit tired and forgot to come in front of our players. We eventually lost 32-8 to Pukemiro. No serious injuries in this game and we still enjoyed playing.
We would like to thank the tennis players for supporting us throughout this tournament, and also the basketball and water polo team for coming today. It gave us heaps of motivation!
We look forward to a good night's sleep and a fun last game tomorrow - Good Luck to other teams!

LAST HOCKEY POST FROM THE MOUNT!
Today we had a tough game against Rotorua Intermediate. At the
end of the first it was nil all which was awesome but at the end of the second
half we let in a goal. Although we were disappointed we are still motivated to
win our last game tomorrow morning. Thank you to the waterpolo team for coming and
supporting us- it was really good to see you there!
FOOTBALL WEDNESDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2012
Today we played four games. The first game we played was against
St Kents and we drew 0/0. It was a very
tight game and we were all cheering loudly from the side lines. Our next game was against ANI (Auckland Normal
Intermediate) We drew 0/0 again with a
team that had beat us earlier in the year.
In our third game today, after dominating the game Mt Maunganui scored a
lucky break away goal. Yaz scored a brilliant free kick 30 meters out and with
5 minutes to go Kezia scored the goal of the season assisted by a cross from
Michaela Buckley. In the 4th
game we played the top of the table, unbeaten, BBI . It was a very close tense game and we almost
drew it right at the last minute. We were very proud of our performance today.
