The Diocesan Swimming Team at the AIMS GAMES tournament did a fantastic job representing Dio over the last couple of nights.

The first session was held on the Monday night.  It was a tough program for the swimmers with them all involved in almost all of the races and the program not finished until 9.30pm.  All 4 students swam fantastic times in all their heats though, to make their way through to the finals on the Tuesday night.

Gina, Olivia and Liv all raced in the 10-11yr old age group.  Their Results in the finals were outstanding:-

The girls then finished off a long evening racing by coming 2nd in the open 200m Medley Relay.  This was a fantastic achievement as they were racing boys’ teams as well in the relay.

Over the competition, points were awarded to schools.  The Diocesan team came 3rd in overall points for the Relay trophy and also 3rd in overall points in the schools competition.  This was an absolutely outstanding result from a team of 4 swimmers.
